dear harish,

correct option is A.

as in the top position the force of gravity also contribute max.(as no sideway component) to centripital acceleration thus tension has a lower value.

m: MASS OF STONE

Fc: CENTRIFUGAL FORCE

T: TENSION ON THE STRING

IN CASE (A),

T=Fc+mg

IN CASE(B),

T=Fc-mg

IN CASE(C),

T=Fc

HENCE, TENSION WILL BE MINIMUM WHEN STONE IS AT HIGHEST POINT OF ITS PATH!!
