If a cube of ice with a cork embedded in it is placed in ab eaker of water and the ice melts, what happens to the level of water? If the cork is replaced by a metal sphere what happens?

If the ice is melted in the first case, the level of water will remain same as the cork will be displacing the same amount of volume as it was with the ice...

But in the second case, if we place a metal sphere, then the level of water will rise, as the metal would submerge in water, thus raising the level of water...
