```				   A motor scooter travels east at a speed of 13 m/s. The driver then  reverses direction and heads west at 17 m/s.  What was the change in  velocity of the scooter?
```										Dear sachin,
the velocity of scooter in vector form is
V1 = 13i
Vfinal = -17 m/s
change in velocity = Vf - V intial
= -17-13 = -30 m/s
Hence change in velocity = -30 m/s
All the best.

An object moving with the speed of 6.25m/s, is decelerated at a rate given by:dv–2.5vdt?where v is the instantaneous speed. The time taken by the object, to come to rest would be?

dv = – 2.5 v dt integerating both sides, dv/v = -2.5dt logv = -2.5t to come to rest velcity should be zero and log0 = – infinity therefore, from the concept the object would never stops .

If surface area of a cube is changing at a rate of 5m^2/s,find the rate of change of body diagonal at the moment when side length is 1m

Surface area of cube = 6*a^2 where a is its side. Now given, dS/dt = 5 m/s^2 thus, dS/dt = 12*a*da/dt = 5 da/dt = 5/12............................(1) Now relan. b/w body diagonal and length ...
