Dear Zahid,

These blocks are attached to one end of the springs and the other ends are connected to each other through a pulley.

Now ,assuming the springs and the rope are massless

Take off the right-hand weight. What happens? The horizontal springscale now accelerates to the left, because there is no force on the other end of the spring to hold it,and hence the springreading will be ZERO N.

The tension measured by a spring scale is the force in *both* directions from the spring scale. That's how a spring works, right? If you stretch a spring, it's pulling on both ends, not just one.

Hence the reading on the balance in our case,

Ma=10 N.(Force)
