two surfaces are well polished so that friction between them is so high. in this case does frictional force depend upon area of contact??
The friction beween two bodies does not depend on the area of contact. It might seem confusing or bewildering but yes , there is no co relation between area of contact and frictional force.
Also , Polished surface will have less coefiicient of friction .
