Definition of triangle in a plane : <A+<B+<C=180, <A,<B,<C any real no,. greater than zero.
And in case equilateral triangle <A=<B=<C=60 so it is also following definition of triangle and is a special case of triangle.

All equilateral triangles are triangles but all triangles are not equilateral triangles.
Soequilateral triangle is subset of triangle
