When Cu is oxidized by one electron, will the electron be removed from the 4s or the 3d orbital first?

From 4s because the configuration for Cu would be accordingt to the Aufbau’s principle and therfore the elctron would be removed first from 4s orbital.
And this is valid for all the elemnts not just for Cu.

here in case of cu there is completely filled 3d orbital with 10 electrons while in its 4s orbital,,, it has only one electron which can be easily removed thus electron is  removed only from 4s orbital
