Vapor thickness might be characterized as mass of a specific volume of a substance separated by mass of same volume of hydrogen. It is unitless amount. 
Given information: 
Molar mass of given gass at NTP = 3.5 g/mol 
Molar mass of Hydrogen = 2.016 g/mol 
Vapor thickness = molar mass of give gas/molar mass of Hydrogen 
Vapor thickness = 3.5/2.016 
Vapor thickness = 1.736
