salam sir my question is about stability of colloidal dispersion how zeta potential play role in the stability of colloid and what is zeta potential and how it is increasing or decreasing ?

I WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THIS. SEE THERE IS A FACT THAT COLOIDAL PARTICLES ARE ALWAYS CHARGED. AND THE ONE OTHER FACT IS IF I GIVE YOU  A PARTICULAR COLLOID WHETHER ITS ALL PARTICLES WILL BE POSITIVE CHARGED OR ALL WILL BE NEGATIVE CHARGED.
AS ALL HAVE SAME CHARGE,THEY REPEL EACH OTHER{LIKE REPELS LIKE}
THIS PREVENTS AGGREGATION OF COLLOIDAL PARTICLES AND THEY REMAN IN COLLOIDAL SIZE RANCE{1-1000 nm
ONLY}
In colloidal system a particle have some charge on it and a liquid layer of opposite charge particle surrounds it . This causes ponential difference between the two layers. this potential difference is called zeta or electrokinetic potential.
I HOPE THIS HELPS
