heisenberg proposed the priciple of uncertainity in quantum mechanics ,
acc to him , ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALCULATE BOTH POSITION AND MOMENTUM OF A MICROSCOPIC PARTICLE WITH 100 PERCENT ACCURACY .
in real life example also u can understand this ,
take a football , u can calculate its position at any point of time and as well as its momentum (mass*velocity ) also can be calculated if u knows the mass and velocity of that , as its a macroscopic object .
but in the case of electron which is a microscopic object , in that case , we cannot calculate the position and momentum accurately , if the position have accuracy , then momentum will be inaccurate , and vice versa ,
as the speed of electron will be very fast and its not visible to naked , its quite impossible to calculate its position by a cartesian plane also .

SO, FOR EXPLAINING THE MOVEMENT OF ELECTRON IN ORBIT AND TO GIVE THE ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION , HEISENBERG PROPOSED THIS UNCERTAINITY PRINCIPLE ,
HOPE IT CLEARS YOUR DOUBT
ALL THE BEST ..
