I have both these books:
Solomon's Organic Book is for Advanced understanding, it presumes that you know some basics. If you are proficient in organic than go for Solomon's.

Leroy.G Wade's Book is for beginners, they have well illustrated key mechanisms and It is quite helpful for understanding fundamentals.
