Dear student,
Just as any normal organic cyanide hydrolyses to give its corresponding carboxylic acid,similarly hydrolysis of an aromatic cyanide gives us aromatic carboxylic acid.
For example, benzyl cyanide, an aromatic cyanide, hydrolyses to give Phenylacetic acid (its corresponding carboxylic acid)
