Dear Student, The Paper pattern for JEE mains and advance for year 2017 is now official declared. But you can refer to its present (2015) paper pattern. It will be approximately same. Thanks.

JEE-Main paper pattern:Question paper will have three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics 30 questions will be asked in each section. Overall, 90 questions will be asked in the Paper 1 exam.The exam will have objective-type multiple-choice questions.For each question, four choices will be given. Only one will be correct. Each question will be of 4 marks.One mark will be deducted from the total score for each incorrect answer.No marks will be deducted for unattempted questionsJEE-Advanced:There are two question papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper consists of three separate parts - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each part has 3 sections. Candidates can check salient features of Exam Pattern of JEE Advanced 2017 of Paper 1 and 2 on this page. Every year, the exam conducting IIT changes the test pattern. Last year, IIT Guwahati conducted JEE Advanced. Both papers, 1 and 2, carried a total of 54 questions each. The exam was of 372 marks, each paper of total 186 marks. However, this year there is change where Paper is for total 183 marks.
