intensity=I and the wave length of the light = λ
so the law is:    I∝(1/λ^4)
Application
  1. The red light has max wavelength.so intensity=I is min.and scattering is proportional to intensity.so the scattering of red light is min..

dear barnik
|Rayleigh scattering-   intensity
is inversely proportional to the fourth power of wavelength, so that shorter wavelength violet and blue light will scatter more than the longer wavelengths .
hope it clears

For x>wavelength, rayleigh scattering is not valid and all wavelengths are scattered nearly equally.

I HOPE THIS HELPS!
