Two forces of 60n and 80n acting at an angle of 60degree with each other pull an object. What single pull would replace the given forces. Pls explain how to calculate the direction properly. Is it true that we can get two angles w.r.t 2 diff vectors? I think thats where I am getting confused. Pls see this picture and tell me if I have made a mistake. pls ans my question

see friend there is confusion in your mind you are correct the problem with you is that what you have calculated is by taking base as 60N and i have calculated earlier is by taking base 80N.
SEE the total angle should be 60 degree.
book answer=34.7degree
your answer=25.28 degree
total angle is 59.98 approx 60 degree
you are correct provided you should mention the angle with respect to the force you are taking.
thanks and regards
