if a person driving a car with speed with 20m/s suddenly sees a boy  crossing the road. If the distance moved by the car , before the person applies brakes , is 5 m , then what is the reaction time ?

We’ll assume the car stops as soon as the brakes are applied.
so t=5/20=0.4s
