Dear ma'am/sir, A vector A has magnitude a and a^ is unit vector in the direction of A. Then is A.a^=a ? I feel it is not correct but in my book it is given correct. Thanks, Jai

yes it is correct since a^ is unit vector , means a has magnitude one , means A is also same unit vector a^, so a^.a^= a (since 1*1=1), if not clear ask again.
