Dear Tanweepriva

mass and moment of inertia is entirely different thing

mass of a body always remain constant,while moment of inertia is different about different axix.

moment of inertia depends upon the distribution of mass .

but in some cases equation looks similer..

for examle  kinitic energy by linear velocity =1/2 mv2

          rorational kinetic energy  =1/2 I w2
