sir a line segment has infinite number of points and the length of each point is zero. so the length of the line segment should be undefined but practically it does not happen each line segment has some finite length. please explain.i will be obligue to you.
Dear Nehal, A line segment does have infinite number of points but there is not anything like 'length of a point'. A point is a 0-dimensional object. It does not have volume, area, length or any other higher dimensional analogue. Therefore, 'length of a point' does not exist. However, 'distance between two points' exist and therefore, line segment has some finite length (which is equal to distance between two end points). Please feel free to post as many doubts on our discussion forum as you can. If you find any questionDifficult to understand - post it here and we will get you the answer and detailed solution very quickly.
