Dear saourabh,

The basic difference between the lights we see is the difference of brightness or luminosity.Luminosity depends on the amount of available light. It can be measured and recorded in a numeric value called LUX.The colours that we see are from the white light(prism experiment).Their luminosity will be less than that of a bright white light. Now as you might be knowing the birghtest light we cant see is the sunlight. The halogen lamp has 750 LUX and the luminosity of BRIGHT sunlight is greater than 20,000 LUX.The luminosity is the reason why the other colurs look dim in presence of sunlight.
