hi ayushmaa
mechanical is a very good branch as compared to instrumental. usually students of mechanical get higher value packages then instrumental students
so i think mechanical is a good option

Dear Friend, Out of the two, for sure Mechanical branch is far fa better, may it be abouty the future value regarding good placements and high salaries or to fly abroad, or to go to industry or teaching  – anywhere you will feel rewarded as to get your degree in this branch, so, without any second opinion, just go for it, and BITS Pilani on the top is a quite renowned institution, you may go for an analysis of some other reputed institutions too in order to find out a right choice for you, you may consider these – Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi,...........................Sardar Vallabhbhai National nstitute of Technology, Surat,.............................Lovely Professional University, Phagwara etc.

you can prefer mechanical as it is the one of the valued branches throughout the world.it is use ful for you to go to foreign for your further studies.but if you had interest in instrumentation then it is the right option.dont go by the wind, prefer the branch in which yu are intersted.but the packages in mechanical are far better than in instrumentation .so think it also.....
