A magnitude is by definition just the mathematical number without any sign or direction a quantity is having for eg:-3 Kg rice jas magnitude 3-5N force has a magnitude 5 even though it is in opposote directionYou just have to pick the mathematical value. Magnitude of -9 is 9 if you still have doubt feel free to asl thank you!

Magnitude is mod value of any quantity . i.e through the magnitude we understand a number not any direction.

Knowing something deeply is best than knowing somethings. So if you dont know about magnitude i will clear your doubts that mahnitude is the numerical value which gives the information about any quantity. Like a man is travelling with spees of 2 m/sec then 2 is magnitude but we does not know about it moving direction. I think that your doubt must be cleared know
