Dear piyush

Electric field lines flow from low to high potential.

so work will have to be done in the direction of electric field for moving a negative charge.

so only A,B,and C paths are possible.

also W=q(Vb-Va)

and the difference of potential is max in case of path B.

SO max. work will be done in path B.
