A compound pendulum(solid copper plate) swings in front of magnetic field perpendicular to plate. What will be its effect. will it stop suddenly or damping effect or no effect. what if plate has several holes.

Dear super daman,


Due to eddy currents, plate will get damped. But, in case of plate having holes, this effect will increase and plate will come to rest.

I think it`s because electromagnetic waves are just waves and have no positive or negative charge and therefore are not affected by electric or magnetic fields.
