An electric dipole consist of two charges of 0.1 macrocoulomb. Separated by a distance of 2 cm.the dipole is placed in a external field of a 10^5 N/C. What maximum torque does the field exert on the dipole.

The formulae of torque for the dipole present in an external magnetic field is given as:
T = qdEsinthetha
for maximum torque sinthetha =1
Therfore,
T = 0.1*10^-6*2*10^-2*10^5 => 2*10^-4 CV
