AC & DC. Definition: Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricity that comes from a wall outlet is alternating current.

In direct current (DC), the electric charge (current) only flows in one direction. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.

dear gowri sankar current is flowing in two ways
1.dc current
2.A.C current
dc current means direct current which has does’t change in magnitude and direction  A.C current means alternating current which flows  periodically it is represented as sin wave
