Dear Abhishekh,

The Voltmeter has a very high resistance which makes very less current pass through the circuit.the current can be measured by the ammeter.
the External Resistance can be calculated by=>R=(EMF - VOLTAGE CALCULATED BY VOLTMETER).(CURRENT)
(ANS)
