as far as I know there is nothing like insulaator.

Insulator is a non conductor due to non availabiltiy of free charges.

Dear Rahul,
Ya there are many things called as insulators, they do exist and resist the flow of electric current.
Insulator can also be called a dielectric, it is a material which resists flow of electric current. Insulating material contains atoms with tightly bonded valence electrons. These type of materials are mainly used in parts of many electrical equipments, also refered to as insulators or insulation. These are used to support or separate electrical conductors without allowing the passing of current through themselves. Insulators are used more specifically to refer insulating supports which attach electric power transmission wires to utility poles.
Materials like glass, paper or Teflon are excellent electrical insulators. Rubber-like polymers and most plastic materials are "good enough" to insulate electrical wiring and cables even when they may have lower bulk resistivity.

I hope .. this will help you.
