				   WHAT IS OHM LAW?

6 years ago

Share

										Dear Nitesh
Ohms Law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference or voltage across the two points, and inversely proportional to the resistance between them.

$I = \frac{V}{R}$

where V is the potential difference measured across the resistance in units of volts; I is the current through the resistance in units of amperes and R is the resistance of the conductor in units of ohms. More specifically, Ohm's law states that the R in this relation is constant, independent of the current

Please tell me how to find the net resistance in this case.please see pic.

It would only be solved after applyinh KVL in loop 3-3-3 ohm resistances and loop 3-4-5 resistances. Or U can also tryy with KCl. As wheat stone bridge consditions doesn't satifies here.

@ ashutosh its not a wheatstone bridge combination . so, we need to take series and parallel combination here . 3 ohm and 4 ohm are in series , and anathor 3 ohm and 5 ohm they are also in...

) A 12 kW heater having efficiency 80% is connected to a 220 V, 50 Hz supply. Find the reactive component of the input current if its power factor is 0.75 lagging.

Power actual = 0.8 * 12 => 9.6 KW = > 9600 Watt. 9600 = Irms x 220/root2 x 0.75 Irms = 82.2690 A. the reactive current and resistance current would be same as in series .

A sound wave is sent into a gas pipe. Does the internal energy change?

As the propagation of sound wave in a gas is an adiabatic process then its temperature and hence its internal energy will increase.
