1. There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination,
2. For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
Now according to this you can’t have participate in CSAB counselling. I won’t even advice that you waste one year and give the board exam next year as there is no surety that next year you are going to score 75% or more in 12th or you will be able to do well in JEE.
Better would be that you go for some good private university like Sharda, Lovely, Shiv Nadar, etc where with these marks you will get admission easily. These places have made a name for themselves in the field of education by offering good academic environment and wonderful placements to their students. They offer a lot of exposure and growing opportunities to their students. Some of them even offer scholarships to meritorious students on different criteria.
