The combined marks of first and second year Intermediate examinations will be valid for calculating the rank using the 40 per cent weightage given for Intermediate marks in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) the ranks of which are considered for entry into the National Institutes of Technology (NIT).
For the JEE Main 2014, the Intermediate 1st and 2nd Year Marks will be considered for the AP aspirants. Students form Andhra Pradesh will have to do well in both the first and second years of their Intermediate exams as the marks from both these years will be considered for the normalization purposes for JEE Main 2014. Students may be reminded that 40% of the Class XII marks are to be considered for the Merit ranking along with the JEE Main scores which will constitute the remaining 60%.
