Velocity of a particle moving in the positive x direction is v = (40 - 10t) m/s. At time t=0, the velocity of the particle is 0. Find the time when the particle is at a distance of 60m from the origin.

Answer is 2 sec

 

V=40-10t

dX/dT. = v

Hence dX=v dT integrating them we get

dX=(40-10t)dT

X=40t -5t

Putting x=60 we get t = 2,6

6 is nt possible becoz velocity is -ve at that pt hence ans is 2sec
