if (-2,1) and (3,2) are the vertices of a parallelogram , the equation of diagonal is x+y+1=0 and the length of a side is 6 units . Find the other two vertices of the parallelogram .
Hi HSN KMR!!!!
IF you observe,(-2,1) is one point on the diagonal, but (3,2) isnt.
Now,try to find the point on the diagonal which is at a distance 6 from the point (3,2)
so,consider the poinr ro be (x,-(1+x)) and its dist from (3,2) is 6
so,use distance formula and u will get the third point and thus the slope of a side, using this find the eqn of the side which has points (2,1) and the unknown vertex
now,u can easily find the vertex as u hav the eqn on which it lies, and also its distance from a point
