Compulsory means what? It is just advised to read ncert books as they help to clarify the concepts and gives a brief idea of the scope of syllabus.

No its not compulsory that you read from NCERT first...you can start with OP Tandon or P bahadur....

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
