dear ajmeera,

answer for your question:

given data:

maas=300g it is converted into kg i.e 0.3 kg

force constant(k)=2.5N/m

then we find damped constant in critical dampting:

i.e  d=2*squrt(k*m)

       =2*0.866

       =1.7
