Grade 12Discuss with colleagues and IITians

according to iitjee website cutoff marks (for eligibility)for ST preparatory course is 48 but last candidate admitted for 84 marks.i got 65 marks and not selected for prep. course. one of your askiitian expert said that marks above 48, the ST candidates are selected but there is no information from iitjee website.now after prep. counselling and results still there are 212 seats remain vacant.will these seats filling up or not this year.And i have some chances or not?plz explain in details.

Dear Ashok,

No these vacant seats will not filled .. they will remain vacant. I think u shud drop this year and study hard for the next time, you can definatly crack the this time..

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
