Go for polymer science in IIT Roorkee. Job point of view, its very good cos very few institutes offer this course. Also u will have the all important IIT tag. But mind you, M.tech poly. science is taken in the Saharanpur campus and not inside the campus of IIT Roorkee. Saharanpur is 50 km away from Roorkee and the campus is almost equal to that of Roorkee's, but smaller.

At the same time the other options that u gave are also very good. Chemical in pilani or mech in warangal are excellent openings careerwise. And if u were to ask me, stay away from civil.

Hi ,

The best options is chemical @ BITs Pilani and then Mechanical @ NIT warangal .. But if want the brand name then you can go IIT roorkee but the related branch is least preffered..

So go for chemical @ BITs ..

From both job prospects as well as research in MS, IIT Roorkee is the best choice. Polymer s&t is a part of the new, rapidly growing and exciting field of material science and engineering. There is enormous scope in this subject area. Artificial materials are being invented in large numbers nowadays and a significant number of them are polymers. There is lots of research that can be done and plenty of hi-tech jobs available, especially after the global economy recovers.
