I got industrial chemistry (M.Tech) in IT-BHU through IIT-JEE in second counselling of iit. I also have 35th rank in IIST counselling list but I have not been alloted any branch yet.I would like to know what choice would be better to choose . Can any one please tell me something about the branch also

what may you get in IIST?

choose anything depending on whether you wnat to go pure research or applied.

I would have gone for IIST.

It is better.
