I got 3331 rank. What branch should i opt for ? Looking at last year cut off , there is option of civil or eng. physics at iit guwahati and e.e. or mechanical at varanasi. What do you recommend ? Is there a chance at any one of the old iits?

Dear Vidhu,

With this rank there is almost no chances of getting a good branch at the old IITs. Though you are getting branches at IIT Guwhati, its not a good option to opt for as it has less exposure in comparision to other IITs and IT-BHU. The branch also which you are getting at IT-BHU is of quite good rank and is safe to pursue considering the future prospects.
