Dear sai

Eligibility for admission to Postgraduate Programs in IIM:

If you have a CAT or GMAT score and a Bachelor’s degree, you can apply for the Postgraduate Programs in Management. In some PG programs, you can also apply if you are appearing for the final slot of the qualifying exam or awaiting your results. Some PGPs, including those which offer specialization in a specific field of work such as Public Management and Policy and Agribusiness Management, also take into account the work experience of an applicant in the same field. As you apply for a Postgraduate Program in Management, your academic record, scholastic achievements and performance in the relevant field of work is often counted upon during the selection procedure.

Admission Criteria for Executive Programs of IIM:

Several Executive Education Programs are available in the IIMs, which require a considerable amount of work experience from the applicants in the field they apply for. For admission to most of these Executive programs, the candidate needs a valid GMAT or CAT score. For applying for the postgraduate programs in management, the candidates also should have a Bachelor’s degree. You can also attend the customized Management Development programs organized by the IIMs if sponsored by client organizations.

Criteria for admission to Fellow Programs in IIM:

Once you have a postgraduate degree, you can choose to pursue a career in teaching or Management education. A candidate who has acquired First Class in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering can also apply for Fellow programs. A candidate who has professional qualification in CS, CA or others can also apply for the doctoral programs. The selection procedure takes into account the academic record as well as scores in standard tests including GMAT, GRE, CAT and others. For specializing in some field of research such as Corporate Strategy and Policy, you are also required to have work experience. Apart from your past academic performance and standard test score, your work experience as well as interview will be taken into account for admission to most of the Fellow programs.
