sir , is it compulsory to stay at hostels at iit , especially roorkey . even if you reside some 500 m away. also tell me about nit kurukshetra

In IITs .. you will have to pay the hostel and mess fees in every IIT... some students who are localites can go and stay at their home there is no boundation but you have to stay at the hostel ... there is no as such problem in nit kurukshetra .. you can stay home widout paying hostel and mess fees.
