sir..which one is more remunerative..mech. or petroluem engineering??and if i take mechanical thn ,on wat shld i specialize?wat difference it makes after specialisation in remuneration??wat r d salary packages for a mechanical and petroleum engineer??

Dear arjun,

You get more remuneration in mechanical engg and there are lots of opportunites too.

petroleum engg has got limited job offers as of now. Once you do specialisation in mech, your pay package enhances exponentially.

Salary package for mechanical engineer is around 7-8 lakhs per annum and for petroleum engg its about 6-7 lakhs per annum if you pursue from a reputed college.

Yeah you are eligible for giving your jee mains in 2017. An pass out of 12 th from 2015 or 2016 is eligible. But 2014 passout is not eligible. Hope it helps. Do approve my answer.
