is it possible to join shipyard by doing mechanical or civil???
what is the package range in this feild?

Dear Genda,
Definately it is possible that by doing mechanical you can join shipyard, but civil engineering would not help you out in shipyard.
The approximate package in this feild depends on your performance , but on an average as a fresher your starting would be somewhere around 4 -5 lakh per annum .
For doing mechanical engineering with any of the IIT'S you need to clear the jee with approximate rank under 1000.
