state true or false with explanation: a capacitor which is charged to a certain potential using batery , and now battery is removed and capacitor is then connected to an uncharged capacitor and when switch is closed charge flows between capacitor. if this is true then why the answer to this iit 2001 question is zero: capacitor A has charge q on it whereas capacitor B in uncharged.the charge appearing on the capacitor B a long time after the switch is closed(capacitors are connected side by side wid switch in between)???please help i dont get ur reply very often.

Hi,

Can you please confirm that the circuit is complete after the connection of the two capacitors. If yes, then half of the charge would be transferred from charged to uncharged capacitor and it won’t become zero.

thanks...........................................................................................................................
