Purple line is the graph of the function.
Co-domain is all set of real numbers.
And you can see from the graph that the function cover almost all the real numbers. So range is equal to codomain. Thus, function is onto.
To verify One-one:
Vertical parallel line test:
Draw a line parallel to y-axis.
It touches the curve at only one point. So function is one-one not one-many.
Horizontalparallel line test:
Draw a line parallel to x-axis.
It touches the curve at only one point. So function is one-one not many-one.
