Ans:
Let ‘f’ be the function.
1stMethod:
Steps:
Consider two same output corresponding to two inputs x1&x2respectively.
f(x_{1}) = f(x_{2})
Simplify the equation
If there exist a solution other than
x_{1} = x_{2}
\Rightarrow Many-one
else\Rightarrow one-one
2nd Method:
Graphical Method (Horizontal Parallel Line Test)
Draw the graph of function.
Draw the horizontal line parallel to x-axis.
If line intersect the graph at more than one point, then function is many-one else one-one.
