Is x|x| one one ? How?

Ans: Now, you draw the graph of f(x). Horizontal parallel line method: Draw a line parallel to x-axis. Line cuts the graph at only one point. So, f(x) is one-one not mony-one Vertical...

Why is equation (1) not a polynomial equation and equation (2) not a polynomial in y? (1) dy/dx + sin(dy/dx) = 0 (2) (dy/dx) 2 +(dy/dx) - sin 2 y = 0

Being a equation and a polynomial equation is very different. Functions like sinx, lnx, e x are not considered polynomial quations. They are transcental functions.

Find the value of a for which the limit of function exists at x = 0. f(x) = (1-cos4x)/x 2 , x f(x) = a, x = 0 f(x) = (x) 1/2 /((16 + x 1/2 ) 1/2 – 4), x > 0

Ans: Since the limit of function exist at zero. So at x = 0 LHL = f(0) = RHL Apply L’Hospital rule

The solution set of the equation 4 log 9 x -6.x log 9 2 + 8 = 0 is ______.

We have x log a y = y log a x S, x log 9 2 = 2 log 9 x 4 log 9 x -6.x log 9 2 + 8 = 0 => (2 2 ) log 9 x – 6. 2 log 9 x + 8 = 0 => (2 log 9 x ) 2 - 6. 2 log 9 x + 8 = 0 let 2 log 9 x = y...
