Branch Ranking of IIT

i am getting 6939 rank in iit jee 2011, need to chose between btech in mining engineering from it-bhu or msc chem in iit roorkee, in both senario i will try to change branch, i can work very hard for it and will be able to do. what should i go for

Both branches are ok types so its better to go IIT Roorkee and choose physics instead of Chemistry.
