Grade 12Branch Ranking of IIT

I have got AIR-542 in IIT-JEE 2009.....

My possible options are mechanical eng (4 yr course), electrical (5yr course) at IITM or elec (4 yr) at kharagpur.... I would prefer 2 take up a course at madras since i hail from there.....

which course dya think ll be better 4 me ???
also are 5yr courses better than 4 yr courses or not ????

Dear Krishna,

IITD and IITB are much better college than IITM. AT this rank i will suggest you to opt for MCA or Mechanical at Delhi or Mechanical at Mumbai.

Considering your preference go for electrical(5 years) at IITM.
