Testis is a most important part of the male reproductive system. It is a type of gland in which testosterone are produced and it is contained in scortum.

Testis are in pair and primary reproductive organ in males. Their function is to sythesize testosterone hormone which is responsible for male characteristics. Other important function is formation of sperms. Sperms are haploid, meaning they contain only one set of all chromosomes, i.e. 23 chromosomes.

Testes are primary sex organ in males.They produce sperms which are the gametes needed for reproduction.Testes also acts as an endocrine gland as it secretes male hormone testosterone which control male sexual behaviour.
